Our Flight Training Centre in Mareeba focuses on the exceptional delivery of flight training to graduate highly competent MAF pilots, PNG national pilots and other future pilots. It also supports MAF programs in the Asia-Pacific region with crucial operational training. Talk about being part of a significant cause!

What to expect in this role:

As Head of Delivery, you will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring on-time delivery of flight training and liaising with a variety of stakeholders and customers of the MAF Training Centre. This includes MAF Programs, Aviation Australia, CQ University, various MAF Departments such as the worldwide Flight Operations Department, Recruitment, Human Resources and Legal and other flight training providers. Excellent communication and written skills are essential in this pivotal role!

Ensuring efficient operations, by scheduling aircraft, instructors, and students to maximise output and performance, will be a key focus for you. In close partnership with the Head of Training, you will keep things moving, aiming for the best training outcomes in line with the vision of MAF International. You will also manage the operational and administrative teams.

The ability to lead others and to fit well in a team will give you the head start you need to make your mark. Knowledge of CASA regulations and MAF operations is highly desirable but if you don’t have these, the ability to adapt quickly to working in a large multi-national mission aviation organisation could also work. Experience in project management would be a big bonus!
